Submission Process

Submission Timeline:

Submission Methods:

*NEW* Starting this year (2013), AGU is accepting nominations for journalism awards in electronic form only.

Please submit entries by means of the online Nomination Form.

For most submissions, AGU will need a URL web address for the entry, which you can enter into the nomination form. However, for two types of entries (broadcast and non-English), you will also need to submit additional documents, which you can upload by means of the nomination form:

  • BROADCAST REPORT: If your entry is a broadcast report (i.e., video or audio), please be certain to upload a written transcript, in the form of a PDF or Word document, which you can do by means of the nomination form.
  • NON-ENGLISH REPORT: If your entry is in a language other than English, please be certain to upload a written translation, in the form of a PDF or Word document, which you can also do by means of the nomination form.

Most nominations for the Perlman award are submitted by the author(s) of the entry. However, if you are submitting a nomination, but are not the nominee, please be certain to fill out the lower portion of the Nomination Form with information about yourself. AGU will contact the nominee(s) to ask if the nomination should move forward and to request any additional materials needed.
